The 21-year-old Brazilian international is being watched by several clubs in Europe. Including Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United.
He is seen as one of the next great stars in Brazilian football. And is likely to cost as much as £30 million.
Manchester City are planning to strengthen their squad in several positions this summer, including goalkeeper, centre-back, central midfielder and attacker, especially at least one number 10.
As such, Manchester City’s right-back options for the remainder of the season were Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes, with the latter holding down the role for the majority of games due to his ability to drive forward with the ball and pace in transition.
But it seems as though Guardiola and City’s recruitment team do not view either player as the long-term solution to their right-back issues, as they plot investment in the role during the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is however pointed out that Wesley has also been tracked by many other Premier League. And European clubs, including rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, and could cost as much as £30 million this summer.
It was previously reported that the Citizens are interested in players like Morgan Gibbs-White. And Florian Wirtz, although the latter seems more likely to move to Bayern Munich.
